Add a new tracking domain

Deploia requires at least one tracking domain to be configured and used when setting up an email campaign ("set up an email campaign"). The verification process is reasonably straightforward. If unsure, you can see the article on the "difference between sending and tracking domains".

1) Initial steps

1. Go to "Domains" --> "Tracking Domains" from the sidebar menu --> "Create new"

2. Type the domain you wish to use for tracking opens/clicks from (Eg. trk.mydomain.com) in the "Domain name" field.

3. Click on "Save changes"

2) DNS Records

• Add a CNAME record type to your DNS provider (Eg. Cloudflare, Namecheap, Godaddy) for the tracking domain above and point it to the URL for the account which includes your username. Eg. USERNAME.sendtrack.email. (Only use this part of the URL)

• Tracking domains are important as they determine whether your email will end up in the inbox/spam folder.

• DNS propagation could take up to 48 hours to reflect. Most times, it happens within a few minutes. We suggest you wait for at least 5 minutes before proceeding.

3) Domain validation

• Navigate to "Tracking domains" and click on the "Settings" icon next to the domain you just added.

• From the options, select the "Verify" button, and the system will try to verify and set up tracking domain

• Your tracking domain status should say "Yes" under the "Verified" column

• You can now choose this tracking domain when setting up your email campaign
