You first need to "create new contact mailing list". You cannot add new subscribers without doing that first. Would you like to "add new contact subscriber to mailing list" through the app? We have a different article for that. Ensure the uploaded is in "correct CSV file format".

  1. Go to "Lists" --> "Lists" --> Select your desired list from the sidebar menu

  2. Click on the "Tools" menu and choose "CSV" from the options

  3. Select your CSV file by locating it on your computer and click "Upload file"

Recognised headers

These recognised data columns are available by default with every new list. They are case-sensitive. ONLY the email data is mandatory. All other fields are optional. The import will fail if it doesn't see an email column.

  • EMAIL (Mandatory) - Email address of your subscriber

  • PHONE - Phone number or mobile data of your subscriber

  • FNAME - First name of your subscriber

  • LNAME - Last name of your subscriber

Notes

  • Only Comma-separated values (CSV) files are accepted for import.

  • The CSV file must have a header row (column names).

  • Maximum file size allowed is 100MB. If you have larger files, split them up into smaller files.

  • Import may fail if the file is not formatted correctly or contains invalid data.

  • It's recommended to do a test import first using a test list and check if it works as expected

  • Column names in the CSV will be used to create list tags.

  • If a tag doesn't exist, it will be created automatically

  • There's an option to view a CSV file example for reference. "https://USERNAME.sendtrack.email/customer/assets/files/example-csv-import.csv".
